foiled again

I really, really, really want to tell you about our holiday, but, alas, a weird, ongoing, annoying, possibly-ex-pat-meet-up-jeopardizing health problem (a different one for a change!) has removed any urge to blog right now. Dr.'s appointment tomorrow will bring clarity. My regular doctor is on holiday so I must see his partner even though I cannot stand the guy. Such is life. Doctors need vacations too.

Here, take a seat and relax until I come back.

good thing I am not performing brain surgery today

We made it home safely and I have wicked, wicked jetlag. Have already been out foraging for food and am now attempting to put away the contents of eight bursting-at-the-seams suitcases. It's not going so well since I have to sit down every ten minutes and stare into space wondering what day it is.

Dear KLM,

As much as we love you - you got us where we wanted to go without a hitch and your staff were friendly and helpful - you served the absolute WORST airline food we have EVER tasted. Ever. We thought maybe it was just a fluke on the way over, but the flight back confirmed it. Absolutely appalling, and we're not that picky, believe me.

We know you'll try harder next time.

please fasten your seatbelts

You know what they say about the best laid plans. Well, the plan was to blog considerably more while we were here, but, um, real life got in the way. That doesn't mean I don't have anything to say though! It's just going to take a while.

Our plane leaves shortly before 7 p.m. this evening and we'll be back in Dullsville late Tuesday afternoon. School starts Thursday, that should be fun.

We've had a wonderful time, as usual, and it's going to be REALLY hard to leave.
